It’s a trend for celebrities to take up names to boost their fame and so has Eddy Kenzo done. The singer’s claims of being the young version of Nelson Mandela has left a lot of words being thrown at him. Mandela is the grand father of Africa, the first president of South Africa who fought hard to see that his beloved country was rescued from the Apartheid Rule.
Some of his fans claim he doesn’t deserve to call himself that and rather it’s then to initiate the name for him. A few others claim re-branding himself could hurt his original personal brand that he has already built.
“No doubt you are a hard working young man & an inspiration to your people & fans. However, i think you should slow down a little, take your family on a vacation & enjoy the fruits of your success,” said one of his fans.
Eddy Kenzo feels with all his milestones and achievements, he deserves a greater name but the bar his trying to match was set too high for him. He is yet to build a legacy of his own.
