Four girls in Rwanda have been arrested and sent into coolers over inappropriate use of social media.
According to the Authorities, the four girls were charged for posting nude photos on social media and are in line of spending about 2 years in prison.
The four posted uncensored photos on Instagram, a practice that is against the Rwandan culture, according to sources.
On being presented to court, the women confessed that by the time they posted the images, they were drunk and are deeply regretting their actions.
One of them revealed that she came to know about this embarrassment in the following day, after finding her nakedness going viral on the internet. She thereby apologised to the people of Rwanda and pleaded for forgiveness since the photos had no sexual intent in them.
Meanwhile, the Authorities insist the women are believed to have been paid to strip naked by an unknown person, with the intent of selling the content.
